Important changes to Free Delivery – how it works!

Currently we offer free delivery on all orders over $80.  This worked well when our products consisted of just fresh fruit and veg which are of course the basis of our business.  Recently, for your home shopping convenience we have been picking up fresh, quality products from other local Canberra businesses and bringing them direct to your door.  As a result, and in order to keep our prices competitive, we are unable at this stage to include these additional products in our free delivery calculations. 

So what does this mean for you?

The $80 free delivery will remain in place but will apply only to products listed under the fruit and vegies tab, the nuts and snacks tab and the bakery tab.  Any products listed under the grocery tab, the cold items tab or the gift ideas tab cannot at this stage count towards the $80 free delivery total.

Remember though, if you cannot reach $80 worth of fresh produce, nuts and bakery items to earn free home delivery then our delivery fee of just $8.50 is such a small price to pay for such fresh, lovely produce and not to mention the time it saves you by having it delivered to your door.

What does 'free delivery' mean to you?

If you love the convenience of home shopping and use Woolies or Coles to deliver your groceries, now you can have guaranteed market fresh produce delivered to your door from Vegies To Your Door without incurring an additional delivery fee. You will see the difference in quality of our fruit and vegies the minute you open your box. 

If you love market fresh produce over  'supermarket' produce (and who doesn't!) but think it is a luxury to pay to have it delivered - think again!  It will cost you more in $ and in time to drive to the markets than to have Canberra's freshest, guaranteed produce delivered to your door FREE of charge.

What if I don't need $80 worth of fruit and vegies?

Any orders under $80 will continue to incur our $8.50 delivery fee as it needs to be worth our while to do the work for you. If you think about how much your time is worth and how much it would cost you to drive to the markets for your produce, you are still going to come out in front. 

However if you still want free delivery - here are some tricks to ensure you get it!

• Combine your order with a friend, family member, work colleague or neighbour so that the total order is over $80.

• If you normally order weekly, consider changing your ordering to fortnightly so that you are able to place larger orders.  Our produce easily last 2 weeks and many of our customers order this way.  Click here for our storage advice to us about the best way to store your fresh produce.  

• If your order comes to around $70 spend the extra $10 on some extra produce rather than incur the $8.50 delivery fee.  That way you are getting some extra value for your money.

• If you still can't order $80 worth of produce using the above tricks, make sure you join our Vegie Club Program. Which means that once you have placed 10 orders with us you receive $20 cash back.  This is $2 per order  which makes your true delivery fee only $6.50 each time - an absolute bargain!!
